Feeling inspired by the Annual Masters Golf Tournament and want to play golf? If so, be sure to carve out some playing time for yourself in Myrtle Beach, SC and play the Glens golf courses: Heather Glen, Glen Dornoch, Shaftesbury Glen and Possum Trot. Each course offers its’ own unique style and personality to give golfers a one-of-a-kind golfing experience.

Shaftesbury Glen will give you a taste of the style and challenge of Augusta National. In fact, the course was created with Augusta and another famed course, Winged Foot, as inspirations. But it also stands on its own as an exceptional layout. In 2009, the Myrtle Beach Golf Course Owners Association named it Course of the Year.

Golf Magazine says Glen Dornoch is one of the Top 20 golf courses in South Carolina and it’s easy to see why. This is a course that’s been skillfully etched into the maritime forest adjacent to the Intracoastal Waterway. Designer Clyde Johnston worked without a blueprint to create Glen Dornoch’s 18 uniquely sculpted holes, nestling each hole into the lay of the land, one at a time.

If you wanted to be welcomed like the pros at Augusta National, stop by Possum Trot. A jewel among North Myrtle Beach golf courses, it’s known for its outstanding customer service, and is considered one of the friendliest beach golf courses. The people of Possum Trot have a passion for making golfers feel welcome, and the traditional English design of this course is both beautiful and challenging.

Heather Glen is the flagship of the four Glens Golf Group courses and golf there is an extraordinary blend of Scottish style vistas and southern hospitality. From the clubhouse to intimidating bunkers on the golf course, players get a taste of Scotland amidst colorful dogwoods and heather-laced dunes. Golf World recently voted Heather Glen one of the top 30 courses among South Carolina’s 360 golf courses.

Able to stay a few days and make a golf trip out of it? The Glens Group offers affordable stay-and-play golf packages including the Glens 4 Day and 3 Night Package with Free Pre-Booked Replays, plus lunch is included with all packages.

The Village at the Glens, the Glens accommodation provider, offers 2 and 3 bedroom condos directly on Heather Glen Golf Course.  Don’t need accommodations? The Glens also has you covered with their tee time only golf rates and packages.

Continuing the fun after the Master’s has crowned its’ winner is The Monday After The Masters golf tournament. This is an annual event held in Myrtle Beach, SC the Monday after the Masters (hence the name) where celebrities and golf professionals go head-to-head on the golf course to raise money for charity. NBA player, Shane Battier to Pro Golfer, Jim Furyk are just a couple of celebrities to be in attendance in this year.
